We are using Word 2000 on Windows 2000.

We're editing a document that contains lots of highlighted text.
Although the author selected the lightest highlighting color available,
the highlighted text does not print well.

Are alternate colors available for the highlighting menu?

(I see that Word's help indicates that highlighting is a feature best
used for online reviews, not for printed jobs. Still, I wonder if anyone
knows of a workaround for this problem.)

Thanks for any help/pointers.

Which color is your author using? I find the yellow is the
one that *prints* the lightest despite that the grey looks
lighter on screen.

Also, You can display or hide highlighting (but not the
text itself) on the screen and in the printed document by
clicking Options on the Tools menu, and then selecting or
clearing the Highlight check box on the View tab. Perhaps
you can turn it 'off' to print and then turn it back on
upon completion.

My 2 cents.
