I have a 50 page file that I want to change the
formatting. The first 2 pages are fine, but the rest
appear double spaced. Whoever created the file hit enter a
few times between sentences. Is there an easy way to
remove these blank lines ?

Use Find and Replace to replace ^p^p with ^p until there are no empty
paragraphs left.

Or do it in one pass with a wildcard search for
^13{1,}
replace with
^p
