How does one move between columns?

Is there a way to see the columns on the screen?  (Don't
want to see any column separation lines when printing.)

As Doug says, columns are not displayed correctly except in Print Layout
view. There is no really satisfactory way to move between columns except
using the mouse, and that works only if there is already text in the
columns. If you want to go to a new column before the current one is filled,
you can insert a column break (Ctrl+Shift+Enter).
