Hello,

Can I automatically generate a Table of Content in word if I have defined
non-standard head conventions like Head1, Head2, etc. instead of Words
"Heading 1" etc. I am dealing with a document imported from Framemaker.

Thanks

Yes.
Insert | Index and Tables, TOC tab, click on Options, where you can tell
Word to generate a TOC either from your styles, or from manually inserted TC
fields.
Try Help "create a table of contents" for more detailed information.
