Is there a patch or something for Word '97 AutoCaption. I have applied the
AutoCaption at the office for Excel Worksheets and Charts just like I did at
home on my Word 2000 but the Word '97 one does not Autocaption them.

I'm afraid I'm not quite following what the problem is. Can you describe what
you have at the office vs. what's happening at home? Have you made sure to
create the correct caption LABEL names before activating AutoCaption?

I am sorry for finally getting back to this and hope you still check your
responses Cindy.
The v2000 (and 97) have the AutoCaption feature that when activated for
Worksheets and Charts automatically adds the Figure caption whenever I paste
in something from Excel.
At the office, they only have the '97 version. It too says it can
AutoCaptions and looks exactly like my v2000. Only problem is - I copy from
Excel into Word as I have done at home oodles of times and it will NOT
caption them. I have to work at home to make it happen.

Hope you know of something I have not found.

FWIW, when I started up that Word 97 machine again, the AutoCaption did start
working. Not sure whether that's any help, or not, since I'm sure you've
rebooted Windows after setting the AutoCaption stuff?
