Hi,
I'm preparing a word document At the end are Appendices
consisting of a number of brief user surveys (with
numbered questions). I am trying to reset the numbering of
my second appendix such that it starts at 1. However when
I do this it impacts the entire formatting (indents
increase etc). Meanwhile, if I reset the indents to what I
originally specified the numbering of the second user
survey continues from the last number of the predeccssor -
which I do not want. I have tried inserting section breaks
etc - but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Hi Don

There are some ideas on numbering Appendixes on the following page:

How to number headings and figures in Appendixes in Microsoft Word

Hope this helps.

If your numbering is right-aligned, restarting should have no effect on
indents.
