Hi All!
I am working on a long document and as I review each PP i want to write a
summary of that PP (or two PP together) then have word combine them all to
create a sort of outline for the whole doc. What would be the best way to
automate such a task?
Thank you.

You might experiment with Word's Tools | AutoSummarize command to see how
well that works for you. I've never used it, so I can't recommend it, but it
might be worth a try.

Hi Susan

Use the Endnote feature (Insert > Footnote, select Endnote) to insert each
summary. This will collect all the summaries at the end of the document.
Since you probably don't want the sequence numbers that are automatically
created, go to Format > Style and modify the Endnote Reference style to
include the Hidden font format.

I am already using footnotes in the doc. Can I have a seperate group of
endnotes? Or is there a better solution?
TIA
Sue

Footnotes and endnotes are separate sequences. They won't interfere with
each other at all.
