I am trying to number a 20+ page document but after 3 or
4 pages the numbers start over at 1. It does this twice
within the document. It shows this way both in print
preview as well as on the hard copy. I also would like
the page numbers to start after the TOC. Is that
possible? Can someone help me please.

Do you have a section break in your document? (Go to View
Normal and it will show you if you have any breaks
inserted in your paper.) If so, that can cause your
document to restart the numbering at 1. Remove the
section breaks and see if that works.
You want to insert a section break to separate the TOC
from the rest of the document.
