I get a black band across the bottom 2 inches of the page
when zoom is at 80% or higher. I could do my work at 75%
zoom (no band present) but there are times when I need to
see more. How can I make this band go away so that I may
see what I'm typing?

G'day "Dick Gunther" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com>,

Try re-installing your video driver, and if that doesn't work, your
printer driver.
