I have an endnote in which I need to change the style. Does anyone have any advice? Do you mean that you want to modify the Endnote Reference style or that you need to apply direct formatting to one endnote, or that you need to include a paragraph in a different style in the endnote? Even if you select All Styles in the Styles and Formatting task pane, you still won't see Endnote Reference even when the insertion point is in an endnote. For help, see http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/sfpane/StylesAndFormattingPane.html If you're using an earlier version, just use Format | Style, select the Endnote Reference style, and click Modify... If you find the task pane in Word 2002/2003 unsatisfactory, you can do what I have done: Add Format Style back to the Format menu or a toolbar (I have a toolbar button). The reason I referred the OP to Shauna's excellent article (which explains all this) is that it is far from obvious that (a) "All Styles" doesn't really mean "all styles" and (b) "Custom" is the way to get to "all styles."
