Can I prevent a figure caption from appearing inside a
text box?  This happens when I use Insert|Caption, with
the intention of generating a list of figures
automatically.  The problem is that Word doesn't search
within text boxes when looking for all the figures for the
final list.  I haven't had this problem with captions for
Tables in the same document.  Advice?

Word inserts the caption in a text box if the figure you are captioning is
floating.  Right-click the figure, Format>Picture/Object, Layout tab, change
wrapping option to 'in line with text', then insert your caption.

Chad
