I appricaite the advice of Suzanne S. Barnhill who told me
to locate my end notes befoer the end of a document i need
to:

"In the Endnotes dialog, specify that you want your
endnotes at the end of
each section. Then, for every section up to the one where
you want the endnotes gathered, check the box or "Suppress
endnotes" on the Layout tab of Page Setup".

MY PROBLEM is the that the "SUSPEND Endnotes box" is not
active.  How can I get it to cooperate.
