Chad: I'm not sure where to put the \w. I hit Alt F9 and
this is what appeared: {TOC \o "4-5"\t "Heading 1,1,
Heading 2,2 Heading 3,3,}. I tried to replace the \o or
\t with the \w or added the \w after 3, at the end but
nothing changed so I wound up manually fixing the TOC so I
could meet my deadline.
I do appreciate any advice you might have, thank you - I'd
be lost without this newsgroup!!
Regina
I used to get those unwanted tab sets, too, until I
started adding the "\w"
(Preserve tabs) switch to my TOC fields. Then the
behavior was suppressed
and the only tab sets in my TOCs are those I define in the
TOC styles.
Regards,
Chad

Regina,
The field code you posted would be modified such that it looked like this:
{ TOC \o "4-5" \t "Heading 1,1,Heading 2,2,Heading 3,3" \w }
Then, after toggling fields codes again (Alt + F9), make sure to update the
TOC field by clicking in it and pressing F9.

Chad
