We are writing a book using a mix of Word 2000 and Word
2003 workstations. We have converted all our Footnotes to
endnotes. That was fine but Word placed the Endnotes at
the end of the 300 page document.

We need to place the INDIX at the end of the document as
most books are published, but word does not allow me to do
this.

Can you help me please?

In the Endnotes dialog, specify that you want your endnotes at the end of
each section. Then, for every section up to the one where you want the
endnotes gathered, check the box for "Suppress endnotes" on the Layout tab
of Page Setup.
