I'm trying to create an index of a failrly large
document. When I mark the entry the XE "hidden field"
shows with the entry inside but when I press the show/hide
button which I'm told to do to ensure the pagination is
not effected prior to creating the index the index entries
don't go away. Can anybody help?

Probably Tools | Options | View: Hidden Text is ticked ...?
