Hi Regina,
First, insert one of each of the heading styles into the current document if
they aren't already there -- the next step will show you only styles that
have been used in the document.
Open the Tools > Customize dialog. If you want these buttons on a separate
toolbar (recommended), click the Toolbars tab, click the New button, and
give the toolbar a name.
On the Commands tab, scroll down the Categories list and click the Styles
item. The Commands list will now contain the available styles (plus some
other style-related stuff). Drag each of the heading styles from that list
to the toolbar. If you want, you can right-click each button and change the
name and/or make an icon for it.
