Hi,
We are a long document created in Word 2000 that contains
both text and diagrams. We have used the caption feature
to add "Figure #" underneath each diagram. We have also
added a footer that contains "Page # of #".  When we have
the track changes feature turned on, it is showing these
fields as changes when they have NOT been changed.  I
believe this is due to the fact that fields
are "dynamic".  Is this a glitch with Word 2000?  I've
never seen this occur before.  Any way to fix problem?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Linny

That's just the way Word 2000 works. I find it extremely irritating, but the
good news (?) is that Word 2003 doesn't show captions as changed unless they
really did change!

Hope this helps.
