I am looking for good examples of timelines created in
Word?
As a documentary researcher, I create extensive timelines
(30-50 pages) of criminal investigations. Even though I
have already created an efficient template to
chronologically organize mass amounts of information, I am
interested in improving, expanding, and streamlining my
research. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Christian

I'm not sure Word is the best tool for that kind of work ... Sounds
much rather like a job for a good DBMS, maybe?

I'd try making each fact a one-paragraph entry, starting with the
date/time-stamp, or one line of a table. That way, you can always order
it in time.

Have you looked into the TimeMap software from CaseSoft?
