Header gone - Print View not working

Using Word 2000, I have an 11x17 document merge document
that suddenly set itself up so that I cannot see the
header.  It will not go into print view and print preview
does not work.  The header will print, but I cannot get to
it to edit it.  Doing a View Headers and Footers does not
work.

Any ideas?  Some where along the line, I must have hit
something that caused this.  I just can't find it.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug,

This sounds to me as if the document's internal structure has
been damaged. My recommendation would be to copy/paste all
but the last paragraph mark into a new document. Reset the
margins and other page setup things, and recreate the header
and footer. (Note: this has happened to me a couple of times,
before, and this was the only way I found to get around it.)
