How can I get Word (2003) to give a completely blank template on startup?  I
am tired of fighting with these auto bullets, paragraph numbers, etc..  I
understand how to save a template but I can't seem to get one completely
clear of all formatting.

Thanks in advance... Bob

Bob,
The automatic formatting of text entered in paragraphs as bulleted lists or
numbered lists is due to the default settings in the AutoFormat As You Type
tab of the AutoCorrect dialog box.  These settings are stored in Windows
registry and, if checked, are "active" in any document you are creating.

To turn them off:
Click AutoCorrect Options on the Tools menu and click the AutoFormat As You
Type tab.
Clear the Automatic bulleted lists and Automatic numbered lists check box
and click OK
