Hi,
I am trying to format my word document with:
Heading1 (level 1) = SECTION 1
Heading2 (level 2) = 1.1 then 1.2 etc
Head1a (level 1) = TITLE
Head2a (level 2) = 1. then 2. etc
How do i go about this because the 2 heading groups are
different parts of the document.
But i'm having problems with the levels and then the
numbering of Head2a doesn't work because Head1a has no
numbers its just text.

Thanx Lizelle

Hi Lizelle

Use two separate numbering schemes, set up as described on Shauna Kelly's
site as per previous replies. Set the first scheme up from the Heading 1
style and link Heading 2 to level 2. Set the second scheme up from Head1a
and link Head2a to the second level. Head 1a will have no number, but Head2a
should be set to restart numbering after Head1a.
