Using Word 2003 on Windows XP

When I open Word files, the headers and footers suddently stopped
being displayed.

I'm in Print View.

To see the headers/footers, I have to do a "View > Header & Footer"
and then close the headers and footers task pane. Then, everything
is fine, but I have to do this every time I open a document.

I can't see anything about this in the help. Is there some setting
that I did or undid to make this happen?

Thanks.
Barbara

Yes! I never knew about that setting. Thank you! I am happy now. :-)
