I was unnerved to find out recently that the tab button
will no longer, while in a list (bullets or numbers),
indent to a sub heading ie A to a or 1 to i etc...Does
anyone know how I might have turned this off, and can turn
it back on???

The check box for this in Word 2002 is on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of
Tools | AutoCorrect Options ("Set left- and first-indent with tabs and
backspace"); in previous versions, the "Tabs and backspace set left indent"
box is on the Edit tab of Tools | Options.
