Hi,
I got a word document where one paragraph is highlighted in yellow. Now I
want to unhiglighht it so that the white backgound shows up again. Could
anyone tell me how to do that. The problem is in the highlight color area I
do not see the white color to unhighlight with white. Thanks for any help in
advance.

Select the highlighted area and choose Highlighting: None.

Shading could have been used if removing the highlight doesn't work as
suggested below. Sometimes they look alike and it's hard to tell which one
is which.

To remove shading from the paragraph, select the paragraph, then choose
Format: Borders and Shading: Shading, and select "No Fill" and make sure
Style says "Clear".
