Shading could have been used if removing the highlight doesn't work as
suggested below. Sometimes they look alike and it's hard to tell which one
is which.
To remove shading from the paragraph, select the paragraph, then choose
Format: Borders and Shading: Shading, and select "No Fill" and make sure
Style says "Clear".
