fdisk help needed

I need to know if there is a way back from an fdisk using windows
98... Thank you.

If you used fdisk then you have well and truly zapped your disk. Strictly
speaking there are recovery methods, but given that it involves the use of
an electron microscope, you probably don't want to go there.

Isn't it lucky that you followed the instructions to backup everything first
...

This has nothing to do with formatting long documents in Word.

Brute force *re* formatting, perhaps.

Yes, if you are ASIO or the CIA.  Otherwise, "NO".

Fdisk removes the volume table of contents.  The data is still in thee
tracks at that point, but there is no way for the computer to access it.

You could try this company: they claim their software has the ability to
retrieve the data:
http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm

I have no experience with this software, but logically it "should" work, and
it's only a hundred bucks to find out.
