I have a problem that should be relatively easy to solve with a macro
or styles in MS Word, but I am only just learning how to use Macros
and can't figure it out. I would like to be able to automatically
format every other paragraph in Bold font as I type, as long as the
macro is turned on or the style applied. Does anyone have any ideas?

The resulting text should appear:

This paragraph is not bold.
This paragraph is bold.
This paragraph is not bold.

And so on throughout the text. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Your best bet would probably be two alternating styles, one bold, one not.
Set each as the "Style for following paragraph" of the other.
