Hi.  I want to put the location and file name of a
document in a Word footnote.  Everytime I move the
document the path disappears?  I can do this in excel, is
there a way to do it with a Word too?

TIA

It wouldn't go in a footnote, but a footer.

View Header|Footer, then toggle to the footer.
Insert|AutoText, File Name.  Look in the help file for
your specific brand of word.  Off top of my head, I can't
rem where it is in XP.

This may also help you for customizing it.
