In Word 2002, when I create a composite document using
Tools>Compare and Merge Documents, only the insertions
print out. I cannot get the the deletions to print, either
as balloons or strike-through text. I can see them in the
Print Preview, but not on paper. I am printing "Document
showing markup".

What am I missing?

Hi Gerald,

In the Reviewing toolbar, try changing from "Final with
markup" to "Original with markup". Or turn off the balloons
so that Word displays the markup in-line with the text, as in
older versions.
