Tools>Options>View and uncheck the box next to Field Codes. Or if you just
want to turn them off for a single hyperling, right click in the hyperlink

ive got a similar problem
Im trying to create a piece of text with a hyperlink over it, although
my hyperlink takes the form of http:///mytemplate.doc. (note the 3
slashes)
WORD 2002 (on XP) is correcting the /// with //, which I don't want it
to do.
Ive turned off the Autocorrect in the TOOLs menu but its still
correcting the http:///
I need to use the /// as a reference for a xslt transformation so dont
want it corrected.
can anyone help?
