Word 2000 stops responding

Word 2000 stops responding when I try to save a long
document (8.7 MB) and sometimes will not even open at
all. All this began after installing Win Fax Pro. I have
since removed WinFax and resintalled Office 2000 but the
problem is not solved... any suggestions???

Did you remove the winfax add-in? It is usually the add-in that causes
problems rather than the application itself. Even without the add-in you can
still print to fax.
What other add-ins do you have?
Are you running Norton AV? If so uncheck its Office plug-in.
