I am trying to generate a table of contents in Word 2002
that captures effective dates of each page in a 200 page
document. The problem I am having, is that each page can
have a different Effective Date. This is a technical
manual and the effecive date of a page changes when it is
ammended, this others stay the same.

After a while, you can end up with a large variation in
effective dates.

Any idea????

Rowan,

Have you already generated a TOC and are looking for a way
to insert the effective date for a specific page, or ??
There are a few different ways of entering a date within a
Word-level heading on a page. You can hard-code the date,
or enter it using a field code that references the edit
date. Have you tried either of these methods?
