Editing footnotes

Hi! I can't find anywhere where it tells you how to edit
a footnote you've already made (e.g. to remove an extra
blank line you accidentally stuck at the end so the
footnotes are suddenly double-spaced instead of single-
spaced like they were through the rest of the paper). Am
I stupidly missing some obvious Help topic somewhere, or
is it somehow a problem to do??
