Table of Contents - Heading 1

I'm trying to create a Table of Contents but the problem is that the
200 page document is showing almost every page a "heading 1".  I
checked the Table of Contents options to see if there is a way to
ignore "heading 1" when updating the Table of Contents. I also tried
replacing all the "heading 1" to Arial 14 (using the Find and Replace
function) but it somehow corrupted the format of the document. How can
I have the TOC ignore the heading 1 and look for a different
heading/style/font? I am using Word 2002.

Thanks

In the TOC Options, clear the check box for Heading 1.
