Section break after endnote

I am preparing a manuscript and I want end chapter to
contain its own endnotes. But you can't insert a section
break after the endnote - "this is not a valid operation
for endnotes" - and when I put the break at the end of
the chapter text and insert the next chapter, the endnote
from chapter 1 goes to end of entire document.
Advice??

Hi Stefani,
The Options button for endnotes let you select "end of document" or "end of
of section", you want the second.  Use Insert | Footnote menu, click Close
to not actually insert one.
