I posted this before, and tried to add a reply, but it
didn't work. I have Word 2002.
how do i fix my tab problem when i am outlining? before it
used to let me use tab for my indents in outling.
ie:
A.
   I.
       a.

like that, now it just doesn't. does anyone know how to
fix that? also it won't allow me to demote it to what i
want when using tab only (not using the Outling Toolbar).

thanks

Your question has been answered at least once every time you have posted it.
The answer is not going to change. On the AutoFormat As You Type tab of
Tools | AutoCorrect Options, check the box for "Set left- and first-indent
with tabs and backspaces."

thanks, although i know that when i posted it from before
it Never showed, not even after a few hours, so its not
like i saw it and decided to be annoying. so i tried
again, still the same thing happened. i looked at the
previous pages, but they never showed my name anywhere, so
I decided to try one last time yesterday. and guess what?!
it worked.

There have been problems with the msnews servers, and answering questions
has been difficult. Some of us have persevered anyway.
