Headers and Footers

I do not want the header on the first page of my document
to appear on any subsequent pages but I can't seem to
figure out how to do that.  When I insert the header it
appears on ALL pages, and I only want it on the first
page.  Can you helP

click...

File | Page Setup | Layout: and select Different first
page. Be sure to disconnect other page headers from
previous from the header footer dialog.

Same as Previous has no bearing on the matter unless there is more than one
section in the document. Selecting "Different first page" does not create an
additional section.
