I am trying to format the newsletter so that it would flow
to the second column (on the first page) instead of
pushing it down to the second page.

I newsletter is in Word 2000 version.

Can someone show me how to to this?  Thank you.

Word's 'newspaper-style' columns (Format > Columns to set up) have the
behaviour you describe. See Word Help for details (may be called
'newsletter-style' in 2000 as it is in 2002).

Margaret,

Thank you.  I had to go back and re-create the column from
there.  Thanks again!
