Hi All,
I need to remove all section breaks in a Word 2k doc and
nothing seems to work. Selecting section breaks ^b in
replace dialogue makes 0 replacements. Find next in the
replace dialogue finds each break but "replace"
and "replace all" do nothing. I tried capturing it with
ctrl C and nothing is captured.
Neither help nor the KB had much to offer. They can be
manually deleted but there are 500 pages of this. If
anyone knows how to remove all section breaks it would be
very helpful.
Thnaks in advance,
alr

Did you try replacing ^b with ^p (a paragraph return)?
That should work.

Hi Brad,
Thanks for your input.
I had tried replacing with a character with no luck but I
tried your suggestion (^P) and it was also the same.
I have looked for weird settings in the replace dialogue
but everything seems fine.
The key here seems to be that the replace function can
find what I'm asking for but for some reason cannot make
any replacements. Any idea what might cause that?
Thanks again,
alr
