missing footer

I have a file that I beleive may be corrupted. The footer
is missing. Viewing Headers/footers shows a blank area at
the bottom of the page. The "frame" is no longer there.
Cannot figure out how to reset this. Same thing happens
using Word 2000 or 2002. Only thing that will show a
headers is if 'different first' is selected. Then the
footer "area" on page 1 is visible. Missing on the rest of
the file.

I got it back.... thanks anyway ... saving as an RFT
solves many, many problems !!
