Fonts display differently on two otherwise very similar Windows XP
Professional workstations with Office XP in Microsoft Word.

The font onscreen LOOKS bold, and so when you actually apply a bold
format, you can't see it on the screen. However, bold and non-bold
both print fine. We're using a purchased Palatino font. On other
Windows XP and 2000 workstations with Office XP we don't have this
problem - only on this one (actually two) workstations. What can we
set to undo this onscreen viewing problem--not being able to see bold
vs. non-bold?

We've tried a variety of settings changes, that HAVE NOT affected the
display including:

· Office Service Pack 2 vs. no service pack for Office XP
· Windows Classic vs. Windows XP style (Display properties)

We've tried all the default settings in Word
Tools-->Options-->Compatibility on the workstation that displays
properly, with no change - it still shows the difference between bold
and non-bold.

(This approach is to try to cause the display to change on the
workstation that displays fonts correctly--and then check the settings
on the one that does not.)
