I am attempting to insert relevent Word documents into a
blank document, and it seems as though this program will
not allow me to generate a new table of contents or new
page numbers for the entire new document.
It seems as though Microsoft Word XP would be able to do
such a thing. I am very interested in knowing what I may
be doing wrong here.

The TOC should work provided that (1) the same heading styles have been used
consistently throughout and (2) the original TOC doesn't include a bookmark
that covers just a single document. As for the page numbering, check to make
sure that Format Page Number for each section (if you've used section
breaks) is set to "Continue from previous section."

Dear Skull,
Why are you trying to insert a word document into a blank
document? I'm not clear as to why you don't just open the
word document? Please clarify! Thanks, Katrina
