Hi

We're having a few problems with the styles in our documents and the
ones used by consultants and clients.

We have a set of templates here which were created on Word 2000, and
work perfectly fine on this version of word.  However, some of our
consultants have Word XP (2002), and they are unable to use the styles
which have been created on these templates.

These styles specify the font style, size, colour, before/after
spacing etc.  But when a consultant opens this document, they do not
get any of the styles which have been created, and just get a list of
the standard styles within Word (such as Heading1, 2 and 3 etc).

However, the problem is really weird, because some of the systems
which have been sent out to clients with Word XP do have all the
styles listed in the document, but the display of them is incorrect
(i.e. the formatting is not applied to these documents).

We have been trying to re-create this problem on a machine with Office
XP installed, but the documents all seem to work perfectly fine!

We managed to fix the problem on one of the clients documents by
creating a blank document, copying all the styles into this document
from the original document, and then applying the styles to the
correct part of text.  This was all done on Word 2000, and displayed
correctly on Word XP.  However, as you can appreciate, this would be a
long winded process for all clients!

So I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions on what could cause
the problem and how we can solve it globally!
