Confused Fileds and Styles

I have a strange occurence using AuthorIT and publish to Word (2000).
In the document template, the header consist of a two-row table with one
StyleRef field in the top and a second but different StyleRef field below.
The upper text is set to one paragraph style that is Verdana Regular 11pt
and the lower to another which is Verdana Regular 9pt.
When Authorit publishes the document, my header ends up with the upper line
being all Regular except the last word, which becomes Bold, while the lower
line sets the first word (or two, seems to depend on length) as Bold but
leaves the rest Regular.!!!
I didn't think such possible unless you use Character Styles.

Any ideas?

TIA

Dave

Many Thanks to Barry Halford on this who identified this as an MS Word
problem and has sent me a fix-it procedure.
