Header & footer wont display in word when attached to an email

Hi we have headers and footers but when we attach a word document to send an
email the document wont show the Header & footer, looked at the normal stuff
but cant find out why can some one help?

What's the "normal stuff"? Is the document beinf viewed in Normal View
rather than Print Layout view?
