I need your help. I am using Microsoft Office Word 2003.
I am a secretary who types correspondence most of the day. After I complete
the letter and go to address the envelope by clicking on TOOLS, LETTERS AND
MAILINGS and then ENVELOPES AND LABELS, my letter address appears in the
address box but the font defaults to something DIFFERENT from the font of my
letter. I cannot use one font in the letter and a different font on the
envelope! I have tried to modify the default in FORMAT, STYLES AND
FORMATTING, then ENVELOPES. The modified formatting will remain for awhile
and then it reverts back to the original font—that we, as a department, don’t
use! Can you tell me how to change the default so that it stays until I
change it to something else? I have tried everything! Thank you for your
help!
If I understand correctly, you have changed the "Envelope Address" font
in the template, but that is not sticking.
When does it revert back? When you close Word? Overnight? A situation
like that is not usually a Word problem but a system problem. Commonly,
it means that your normal.dot template is getting overwritten for some
reason. The larger and more sophisticated your IT setup, the more you
will have going on that might cause such a problem. Do you have IT
support at work? This might be something to point them at.

Yes, you are correct. There is no specific point at which it reverts back.
It can be after one letter or the next day. That's why it's hard to figure
out.
Yes, we have a large network and a large IT department so I will ask them
for some help, but in the meantime, I thank you for yours.
