I haven't lurked for long, so hope this query isn't inappropriate.

I'm trying to produce sheets of labels, each label with a different address,
importing the addresses from a data base.

I open Word97 (in WinXP), go to the Mail Merge Wizard, and select Labels as
the document type. At Step 2, I select my data source (an old Lotus Approach
DBF data source file). The Mail Merge Recipients are duly shown in the table
in Word97 and all are selected for inclusion.

However, when I click OK, the label outlines are shown but without the
addresses. The first label is blank, and all other labels show <<Next
Record>>. Proceeding to Preview Labels, the sheet remains blank.

What am I doing wrong please?

Thanks, Mike

In the previous post, I should have said that I used Word2002 SP1, not
Word97.
