Worm from this newsgroup

I asked a question on this site last night and this
mourning I recieved emails that looked like they were from
Microsoft, but contained a Worm.  It was picked up by my
ISP before we got it.

The worm did NOT come from this newsgroup.  If you posted a question using
your real email address, there are worms out there that harvest addresses
from these newsgroups and use them to send messages containing virii, worms,
spam.

Microsoft never sends updates by email.
