Hi,

I have a Word document that I want to send out to others who I have
the name and email address for.  I can do the email merge in Word to
send that out, but what I am trying to do is to also personalize the
email to the effect of

Hi <FirstName>,

xxxxx yyyyy  zzzzz.

Goodbye,

Kevin

How do I personalize that firstname in the body of the document?

Set it up as a Letter type mailmerge and execute the merge to email.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
