I have posted a question about this issue earlier but no
answer. Trying again with a different subject.

I have a problem with the function "Send to mail
recipient as attachment" in Word 2000.
On two computers, XPpro and Office 2000, the function
Have been "greyed out". Both computers have local
profiles in the domain.
Does anyone have a clue ?

Hope this helps.

An error in most Windows win.ini files that prevent programs such as Word
from sending mail as an attachment when Outlook Express is the email
client. (the button is greyed out) To fix it, modify the [Mail] section in
your win.ini file as follows:

[Mail]
MAPI=1
CMC=1
CMCDLLNAME=mapi.dll
CMCDLLNAME32=mapi32.dll
MAPIX=1
MAPIXVER=1.0.0.1
OLEMessaging=1

Is there a similar fix for other email clients (Netscape
Mail)? I can use the send to feature from Windows
Explorer but not from within Word. Works fine in Word
Perfect!

Prashanth!

It worked!
It also solved a problem with mailing from Access 2000.
Thanks!

I've been searching all over the Internet for a solution to my problem
which, after reading this post, may be related.

Every time I try to create a shortcut on the desktop FROM ANY FILE
get an error that looks like the attached file image ("No CMC Mai
Provider Currently Installed", with the title of the window "Send T
Mail Recipient CMC Power Toy").

The error comes up every time I right-click, select "send to", selec
"desktop (create shortcut)".

If you've got any suggestions, please help.

I'm running Win ME, OE 6, by the way.

Thanks in advance
