I'm running XP and keep having problems when faxing from
Word. The fax wizard will not open & I get the
message "Fax server information cannot be retrieved". If
I then try to open the fax console, I get "All fax
printers are inaccessible".
I have to reboot to get the fax to work and that only
works for a few minutes, before the "Fax server
information cannot be retrieved" error message reappears.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Word & Fax Services and
added 'faxfix.reg' to the registry. No improvement.
Any ideas???

I have even worse situation: I cannot fax and e-mail from
Word in XP Pro version. This suggests that there might be
a problem with Outlook, not Word...
Well, it doesn't really help me to get my faxes and e-
mails out... lol

I had fax problem until installed MS Office service pack
3 for Office XP Pro. It is available through office
downloads. I used fule-file version of download, than had
to install fax service again from control panel/printers
and faxes. The patch solved fax problem and e-mail from -
under-Word problem as well. Good luck!
